Prof.Yiping Hou focus on the study of Forensic Genetics. He is a doctoral advisor, the national teaching teacher and the teacher of “National Special Support Plan for High-level Talents”. He is the Academic leader of the National Key Discipline of Forensic Medicine of Sichuan University. As a Scholar of ResearchFellowship of Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, he worked in human molecular genetics and forensic genetics at the University of Cologne and the University of Bremen in Germany. He serves currently as a convenor of the Special Medical Discipline Review Group of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, Chairman of Chinese Speaking Working Group (CSWG) of International Society for Forensic Genetics (ISFG); Chairman of National Education Guiding Committee for Forensic Medicine（2007--2017）, The Ministry of Education, China; Chairman of National Education Committee for Edition and Evaluation of Textbooks for Forensic Medicine; Chairman of The Education Committee of Chinese Forensic Medicine Association (CFMA). As the person in charge of the project, he won the National Teaching Achievement Award in 2005 and 2009, respectively. In 2008, he won the special award of outstanding teachers of Baosteel Education Foundation.
